The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is the largest cotton sustainability program in the world. Supporting the farmers is the reason why BCI exists. Cotton is a renewable resource, but its production is vulnerable to poor environmental management and working conditions. The focus of the Better Cotton Standard System is to provide education and learning opportunities for farmers to adopt more sustainable production practices with a focus on environmental, social and economical impact.
